It was a Regimental Commemoration by the Regimental Association of The Rifles and Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Loos and the 70th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War, in the presence of the HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Duke of Gloucester who both Patrons of the Association.

There was a march from from Victoria Barracks Windsor to Windsor Castle with the salute being taken at the Guildhall by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the Lord of the Royal County of Berkshire. This was followed by a service in St George’s Chapel and an afternoon tea reception in the State Apartments in Windsor Castle with our Royal Patrons. The Band was the Silver Shrewton Band and members of Berkshire ACF and 4 Rifles participated in the day.

It was a memorable day which was greatly enjoyed by the 350 members of the Association and their guests.
