Phillip King died today, Sunday 22nd January 2017, at 3.25am. He had been diagnosed with cancer less than 6 months ago and had been in St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich since Christmas. He was 57.

A private family funeral and burial will be held at St Mary’s Church in Naughton, Suffolk, the village to which he and Jan moved in Summer 2016.

The celebration of Col King's life is on the 4th February at St Michael & All Saint's church, Sandhurst at 11.30am. Followed, at approx. 1pm by a wake in the R.M.A. If anyone would like to attend, the family do ask they let them know as they will need names and licence plate details to add to the list on the gate so people can enter camp.
Col King wanted no flowers but asked for donations to St. Elizabeth Hospice and for The Wardrobe (The Rifles Berkshire & Wiltshire Museum).
