The Devizes Reunion was took place on Sun 4 June 2017.  Due to poor communications and the late publication of the event date, especially to those members not on the internet, the turnout was not what we are used to.  Those attending congregated in the Market Place Devizes at 1200hrs.  (Photo 1).  The Standards were marched to St Johns Church and the remainder followed them at their own pace to arrive by 1212hrs.

An excellent memorial service was led by the Venerable Alan Jeans and was supported by the St Johns Church Choir.  After the service the congregation moved from the church to the Devizes and Roundway War Memorial where a wreath was laid in memory of the soldiers of the Wiltshire Regiment.  The Last Post and reveille was sounded by Fran Cowley (Wiltshire Regiment Band) Who had during the same week reached the ripe age of  90 years old.  (photo 2).

The day concluded with a total of 54 people sitting down to a first class lunch, supplied by Annies Catering, in the Devizes Town Hall.
