VC Memorial Stone in Odiham for
The Late Brigadier James Manley VC DSO MC DL

Up and down the country cities, towns and villages have been honouring the centenary the award of the Victoria Cross to those born within their boundaries by laying a special Victoria Cross paving stone . On 22nd June 2018 Odiham, in Hampshire , laid their VC stone to honour the award to the recipient 100 years ago, Captain James Manley VC DSO MC who went on to eventually retire as a Brigadier and being a Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the then County o f Avon

22nd June, Harry North, (Somerset Branch Standard Bearer) and Anthony Walsh (Salisbury Branch Standard Bearer)  were at Odiham in Hampshire to represent the Regimental Association at the dedication of a memorial stone to Captain Manley James VC of the Glosters on the centenary of the action for which he was awarded the Victoria Cross
