ex LCpl Martyn Limberick , who resided in Quedgeley and served with 1 Glosters during the 1970's, passed away on Thursday 16 May. The date and location of the service have yet to be confirmed but it is expected in two weeks time.
His widow has asked that the Association members be informed and welcomes his old comrades to attend his funeral and Standard Bearers if any could be available.
John Sargent passed away morning of 2 May 2019 he was with the Glosters from 1962–1977.
The funeral of John Sargent is Tuesday 4th of June at 1200hrs at Canford crematorium Bristol
Joseph Vango, served with the Wiltshire Regiment, 5th Battalion in the latter part of World War 2, taking part in the break out from Normandy and much of the action though North France, wounded during this fighting he became a prisoner of war. This 93 year old veteran was laid to rest at Mendip Crematorium, Shepton Mallet on 15th April 2019.
Duncan 'Mac' McFarlane
On the evening of Saturday 27th April, following a long fight against cancer, Duncan passed away at home with his wife and daughter on the Isle of Wight.
His funeral will be held on Monday 13th May, 11.15am at the Crematorium, Whippingham, East Cowes.
The family welcomes all who would like to join them in a celebration of Duncan's life to the funeral and at The Waterfront, Totland Bay from 1pm.
No formal dresscode and family flowers only please, but donations are welcomed to the Mountbatten Hospice c/o R & P Everson Funeral Directors, Totland Bay.

“My Fathers information is as follows as much as I know Anthony James Leppard (died Week Ending 13th Apr) dob 30/9/1931 Army number 22339543 Serviced commenced on 16/2/1950 Until 24/2/1952 Gloucestershire regiment He didn’t say much about it , He said he was in Korea for about 18 months And has a couple of Korea service medals On his discharge book it says he served with 1st Glosters in Korea as section 2i/c. But it’s hard to read on the front it looks like it say reg B but it’s very faded If you have any information about his service I would be very interested to know “.
