You may wish to be aware of the recent death of Mr Frank Cottam MBE, aged 93. Frank, as a regular army sergeant, served in A Company, 1st Battalion The Gloucestershire Regiment, at the Battle of the Imjin River. He was subsequently taken prisoner.
Before the end of the Second World War Frank Cottam enlisted and initially served with the Sherwood Foresters and 4th Battalion The Dorsetshire Regiment. Post war service included time in Italy and Germany. In the very early 1950s he was drafted to The Wiltshire Regiment but, as a consequence of the Korean War, was sent to the Glosters.

The funeral of Mr Frank Cottam MBE will be held at Kingston Cemetry and Crematorium, Bonner Hill Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 3EZ at 1220 pm on Wednesday 4th September 2019. Those wishing to contact Frank’s widow, Mrs Trisha Cottam, may contact Taunton office for her address.
