Cheltenham Gloucestershire and Racing Remember
As a commemoration to the contribution made by the soldiers and population of Gloucestershire during WW1, the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff of Gloucestershire would like to invite you to Gloucestershire and Racing Remembers at the November Race Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse to honour those who fought and were wounded or gave their lives as well as those that supported the Home Front in Gloucestershire during this 100th Anniversary of the Armistice.
The event will take place as part of the race meeting and will include substantial static displays as well as an Act of Remembrance and a parade accompanied by the Waterloo Band of the RIFLES. The parade will include 50+ Veterans from the Glosters, RGBW and Rifles in Glosters WW1 uniforms supported by both Regular and Reserve Soldiers of the Rifles along side cadets from all three Services and CCFs.
The event also included a VIP lunch, details of which are attached below. Please support Combat Stress and the High Sheriff's Charity and attend the event. Please also attend the lunch which should be a splendid event with some VVIPs. The event is a full race meeting and is expected to attract over 20,000 people as well as being televised by ITV.
I look forward to seeing you there and enjoying a great afternoon of racing as well as this great event.
